The main warning zone (close range with continuous tone) is active at 30cm behind the vehicle without a bicycle rack. If you have a bicycle rack mounted at the rear, this is included in the calculation and the main warning zone starts at 70 cm behind the vehicle to prevent damage to the bicycle rack or bicycles as far as possible.
