The cartridge must be removed before winterising. Re-installation is not recommended due to the consumption of activated carbon and the hygiene situation caused by standing water over a longer period of time. It is possible that flavours and odours are no longer optimally eliminated. A new cartridge must be used in order to continue to achieve optimum filter results.
Blowing out with compressed air for draining is not recommended. Due to the design of the filter, moisture will always remain in the filter. In addition, the housing of the filter could be damaged if the air pressure is too high.
