The filter must be removed before the winter storage period. Reinstallation is not recommended due to the depletion of the activated carbon and the hygiene risks posed by water remaining in the system for a prolonged period. It is possible that tastes and odours may no longer be removed as effectively as they should be. To continue achieving the best possible filtering results, a new filter must be fitted.
Using compressed air to blow out the system to dry it out is not recommended. Due to the filter’s design, moisture will always remain inside it. Furthermore, the filter housing could be damaged if the air pressure is too high.
If necessary, you can clean the filter housing with warm water and then put it back in place.
