My living area battery gets very hot ("boils") during the charging process. What can I do?

Have you overcharged your living area battery and the battery is getting very hot ("boiling")?
To avoid this fault in future, please check the following causes:

  1. Battery selector switch set incorrectly
Please change the battery selector switch. Please refer to your operating instructions for the exact position of the battery selector switch. You will also find instructions on how to position this switch in your operating instructions.
  2. Charging sensor or relay defective
Please pull the corresponding jumbo flat fuse on the living area battery (please refer to your operating instructions for the exact position) and then contact a dealer. You can find an overview of your nearest dealer in our dealer search.

In any case, please contact your dealer and discuss the next steps!

Your dealer will be happy to answer any further questions you may have. You can find an overview of all HYMER dealers easily and conveniently in our dealer search.
